How can I recognize organic products at a supermarket? And how do I know they are really organic?
A good way of proving that a product is organic is by making sure that they are certified according to EU or USDA regulations. Check out our certifications! The logo shows that organic products are produced according to the rules. Therefore, organic products can be identified by those who are not organic certified.
How is the organic integrity of a farm controlled?
An external agency Accredited Certification body visits the farms at least once a year and checks if the farm and operations fulfil the applicable organic standards.
How are organic bananas being ripened?
Ethylene is approved by the organic regulations in North America, Canada, The European community, Japan, etc. Ethylene, a naturally occurring gas, is injected in a ripening chamber with pallets of green bananas and this will trigger the ripening process of the bananas,... just as what happens in nature on the tree or in the field. The process and the results of starch into sugars are the same in nature.
